Mandela Reception is the first point for any enquiries relating to Kent Union. Some of the services we offer are: Print Shop offers many services such as faxing, photocopying, laminating and binding. Students can email printing requests to: receptionkentunion@kent.ac.uk. We can also print your work direct from a memory stick if that’s easier for you! A5 stapled handbook's can also be provided. For any binding work just call us or pop in. We offer a comb and soft binding service which is ideal for dissertations, theses, projects, presentation of documents – samples are available on request. If you have a deadline looming, please allow plenty of time for the reception staff to carry out this work.
You can buy your NUS Extra cards from Mandela reception for local and national discounts all year round. The cards cost £11 each, we take your picture using a webcam to print straight onto the card. NUS Extra cards which have been purchased on-line are also collected from us – students will receive an email confirmation from NUS online to notify them that their card is ready for collection. We offer a limited postal service including international, registered and special delivery options. For more information on pricing and delivery please pop into Mandela reception where we will be able to help with any queries. We also sell single first and second class stamps from reception
Mandela Reception also works closely with sports clubs and societies, and can take payments for subscriptions, trips, dinners, clothing or other events that are arranged by the club. If you are a member of CSR, RAG or Inquire you can also get your membership card made at Mandela Reception.
The Advice Centre offers appointments to help students with questions relating to

• Financial concerns

• International queries
Appointments can be booked by calling into Mandela reception or by phoning: 01227 824824. The forms for 'Access to Learning' Fund are available free of charge from Reception. Other enquiries to Mandela Reception could include booking Venue barring meetings, getting a staff ID card or lanyard, or just general information enquires – we’re always pleased to see you so do pop in! Alternatively you can email us with any enquiry at receptionkentunion@kent.ac.uk and we will respond to you within one working day. At exceptionally busy periods this may be increased to two working days.
